Seafood Dip Recipe
A good seafood dip is hard to find
- at least one that’s this good!
There are simpler recipes out there, for sure, but this one tastes so good that it’s worth the extra time and effort. With all we have to do, if we go the extra mile, it’s definitely got to be worth it.
Add more horseradish if you like, and/or hot sauce - to your taste. But the basics are all here. Be sure to give it overnight in the fridge so all the flavors can marinate.

1/2 cup (8 oz) mayonnaise
2 cups (16 oz) sour cream
1 cup (8oz) cream cheese
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
3 finely chopped scallions
1 teaspoon good mustard
1 shake Worcestershire sauce
24 ounces of crab, imitation or fresh
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup horseradish
Combine the ingredients, mixing very well. Transfer the dip to a smaller bowl, cover tightly with film, and refrigerate overnight.
We use greens and lemons for a garnish.
We serve crackers with this dip. It’s a favorite with a wine and cheese party. Enjoy it!
A twist on this recipe is to break the crab into small sizes. Then we use the dip as a sandwich filling for mini-sandwiches or rolled sandwiches that can be decoratively cut.
We have also use a pastry bag and shot this onto crackers for large crowds. The ingredients hold together very well, which allows us to do some magic with it.
