Ingredients

1-2 pounds of medium shrimp
1 pound of salted butter
8-10 cloves of garlic

Directions

Peel, devein and de-tail the shrimp. Drop them into boiling water for a minute or so, until the centers are getting white. Then plunge them into ice water and refrigerate.

Melt the butter in a saucepan and add 2 cups of boiling water. Crush and chop the garlic, add it to the butter. When the butter is melted, turn off the heat and let it sit for a while.

Get your chafing dish heated up and ready. Pour the melted garlic butter into the chafer, and put the shrimp on top. Using medium heat, keep it covered until the shrimp are warm.

We like to sprinkle a little parsley, with some lemon garnish, and we always have a bottle of hot sauce around. I can smell the garlic now...!
