Chocolate Chip Pie Recipe
Perfect for your summer party!
This is the really easy, make the day before dessert - get it done so you can enjoy your guests.
You can also set this up as a casserole. We do it in full size sheet pans, 18" x 26"and portion it into 48 cuts. You'd think that the kids would be lined up at the dessert table - but the grown-ups usually beat them to the punch! Using real whipped cream is a nice upgrade, and substituting 50% of the chocolate chips with white chocolate is distinctive and fun.

8 ounces milk chocolate, can be candy bars
1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
1/2 cup milk
1 small container of Cool Whip
1 - 12 ounce bag of semi-sweet chocolate
1 - 9” or 10” graham cracker or Oreo prepared crust, baked
In a large double boiler (or put a large, heat proof mixing bowl over a saucepan with boiling water on the stove,) melt the chocolate and marshmallows. Add the milk and stir until smooth.
Allow this to cool completely, even overnight in the fridge is fine.
Combine the Cool Whip and chocolate, folding them together. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
Carefully add the chocolate chips to the pie mixture. Spoon/pour into the crust, and refrigerate again for several hours.
We like to put shaved chocolate on top. We often add M&Ms, more marshmallows, chips, etc.
