Cheese Bread Recipe
Filled with Flavor

Smooth and subtle - Elegant in every way

Always on our birthday table, this delicious cheese bread recipe stands the test of time.

Bake this one or two days before your party, then slice and serve. It’s perfect for the cocktail hour.

We like to serve as bread with other cheeses, and little bit of fruit for a garnish. Add a dip if you like.

Portions/Servings

This recipe will feed 50 people, if you are you are serving other snacks, and/or appetizers, dinners, etc. Read about Party Food Quantities and how to plan for the right amounts.

Cheese Bread Recipe Shopping List for 50 People:

___15 cups of Biscuit Baking Mix (2-60oz boxes will do)

___7 cups of shredded sharp cheddar cheese

___3 cups of milk

___3 cups of buttermilk

___4 large eggs

___1 tsp. Frank’s Hot Sauce

___1 or 2 pounds of assorted cheeses, for garnish

Procedure:

Two Days Before the Party:

Preheat your oven to 350°.

One of two days before the party, combine the biscuit mix, milk, buttermilk, eggs and hot sauce.

Add six cups of the shredded cheese (save one cup of shredded cheese for later). Mix in a large bowl.

Generously grease 4 – 9” x 5” loaf pans. Equally divided the mixture between four loaf pans.

Bake all four loaves at 350° for 50 minutes.

Remove them from the oven and immediately sprinkle ¼ cup of the shredded cheese on top of each loaf. Allow them to stand until cool.

Cover them tightly with film after they have completely cooled and keep them in a cooler but not refrigerated place.

On the Day of the Party:

To save time, remove each of the low stronger pan and slice them, then replace them back into the pan. Cover and set aside.

Notice how the cheese is spread throughout the bread.

TIP: We like to cut the slices in decorative pieces of different sizes - guests can take what they like.

Presentation: Your Eyes Eat First

Use your creativity and build a beautiful platter with the cheese loaf, cut cheeses and fresh fruit.

SERVING TIP: Our Olive Dip goes beautifully with this bread. Make a dish and have it on the side.

Leftovers:

Reassemble leftover cut pieces, put them back into one of the loaf pans, cover with film and refrigerate for several days of enjoyment.

For special treat, try toasting a slice or two!
