7 Layer Dip Recipe

Show off our 7 Layer Dip Recipe in a nice glass serving dish
- so pretty!

Tastes great and looks better - what a combination! Add meat to this if you like - but we don’t. Vegetarians and others just love it this way.

Go ahead and add something else if you like - we won’t tell if yours gets to “8” - or more! It’s so fun, and remember to make this one look as good as it tastes.

Read about Party Food Quantities to plan for more or less.

Ingredients

2 - cans of refried beans
2 tablespoons of a taco seasoning mix
16 ounces of sour cream
16 ounces salsa (we use mild)
16 ounces of shredded taco cheese
6 scallions
1 medium red onion
1/4 head of iceberg lettuce
1 can sliced black olives

Directions

Use a decorative glass serving dish, or a 9”x13” glass baking dish - something transparent and cool looking.

Prep up the onion and scallions, cutting them into a medium chop - not too small. Shred the lettuce.

Add the taco seasoning to the refried beans and spread on the bottom of the dish. Then carefully and artfully arrange the other ingredients in layers. Cover tightly with film, and refrigerate until it’s party time.

We usually offer a few different kinds of tortilla chips, especially the ‘scooper’ kind. And there’s always a bottle of hot sauce around.
